The Building

The Blue Moon Cafe is located in the century old headquarters of the Higginbotham Bros. & Company building in the middle of downtown DeLeon, Texas.
When the Higginbotham Company closed the doors in 2000, Blue Moon owners John and Helen Adcock saw an opportunity to provide a fine dining experience and preserve a part of the town's history in the bargain.
The restaurant is divided into three floors, each with its own unique ambiance.

The First Floor

The main floor of the Blue Moon showcases an open atmosphere, an effect that is heightened by the 20-foot ceiling covered with the original pressed tin. Huge pillars support the upper floors, and the original floors give a comfortable feel underfoot.
Don't miss the running (!!) 1921 Ford converted into a salad bar, or the area cattlemen's brands on panels by the front.

The Mezzanine

Much of the charm of the mezzanine level comes from its open-air overlook of the first floor and the intimate setting. A close-up look at the pressed tin ceiling is also possible from this upper level. The setting is perfect for large, but intimate, gatherings.

The Third Floor

For weddings, receptions, proms and other large gatherings, the third floor offers wide-open spaces and an ample dance floor, all high above the streets of DeLeon.
