Where is the Blue Moon?
|
First, you have
to find DeLeon
Look in the heart
of North Texas -- just about 90 miles southwest of Fort Worth, 90
miles east of Abilene, and roughly 100 miles northwest of Waco --
at the intersections of State Highways 6 and 16.

Then, you head
downtown
From any direction
-- State Highway 6 from the east, or State Highway 16 from the south
or west, or Farm to Market Road 587 from the west.

|
Straight for
the center of town
The Blue Moon
is located at the intersection of Texas Street (Highway 16 -- the
main north-south street) and Reynosa, the main east-west street
in DeLeon.

And, at last,
you're there
The building marked
here in red is the Blue Moon, located at the top of the hill in
the center of town. The intersection here is the location of "The
Red Light" (there are actually now two in town, but the natives
don't count the other, since it only appeared about 10 years ago),
and where the town's old water tower once stood.
